Shot blocking

You know what else grinds my gears except grinding out mercs? Shot blocking…

Friendlies running in front of you while you’re firing at an enemy and thus, saving them or taking your hard earned XP for themselves…

Or even worse, blocking that one shot that would result in a kill but in return makes both you and the blocker die as a result… (Low HP battles most often)

I always want to throw my keyboard out of the window when that happens …

Yep, not much gets me more than this. Not as bad as a teammate walking through you as you throw a nade, but still.

It’s annoying when playing Nader, line up a shot and some fat fuck gets in my way.

Friendly Fire better not be a thing…I’d prob kill most of my team mates…on accident I swear

When I’m cooking a Fragger nade to throw through a doorway and a teammate runs infront of me last second resulting in a suicide. Good times.

It’s too bad that you can’t hand your teammate that grenade. Now that would make for some comical situations.

I was thinking even before this thread was made. How about receiving -exp for blocking shots?

I’d like to hear you guys opinion on this

P.S Just in case you got eyesight problem. -exp = minus exp

So, not to derail too much but I only started playing Fragger again recently. I noticed something about his grenades. A while back if I threw a primed nade in a room with 4 people all in a small area they would all die no questions asked. Now I throw those same grenades and consistently maybe two or more will live and sometimes have full or mostly full HP. I’ve seen the same thing with Nader’s grenades when watching a friend play. He hit a shot that obviously should have taken out two people but the other person was completely unharmed.

Did grenades, in the past, have their damage ignore the fact that it just went through one person and now grenade damage can be body blocked by a player? For example, If a grenade is at my feet and there is a person pretty close behind me I am fairly certain they will take very little damage now. In the past they would have died.

Has anybody else noticed this change or am I off my rocker? Or was this in a patch note and I didn’t read it?

In my experience, explosions are blocked by a ton of things. Other people can shield you, you can be shielded by a health station, the milk jug can also take the blast for you if the grenade lands close enough to it. It’s pretty messed up. I’ve also seen a ragdoll shield someone standing just behind them from a direct nade.

Just the other day I started noticing that I was having a harder time getting multikills with Fragger’s nades as well. I figured they just ninja nerfed Fragger’s nade radius or that I just missed some patch notes.

Yeah, I know that happens now. But I am almost 100% certain that didn’t happen in the past. At least not with Fragger’s grenades anyway.

I dont care if somebody steals my kill…Im actually happy that somebody helped me…WHAT i really hate is when these people eats my bullets, gets me killed and dies…

Most of the time for the last part of rounds , i take nader…and in that few mins, i would get atleast 5-10 suicides cuz of team mates blocking me…

People would end up just purposely trying to troll others and just shoot nades at teammates on purpose to make them lose points

Nader/Fragger makes this really fun. Firing nades but your local free rotation Vaseline/Rhino just so happen to have the thought of “Maybe I should block that person and ‘save’ them”, or something, I don’t know what these people think when they run in front of you.

FF-ON is the solution.

Makes you more cautious not to shoot when people are in your line of fire.
Makes people more cautious not to go into your line of fire to start with.

Make an exception to this. Enable FF (the player can toggle) for only the “better players”. FF-ON for people who have a KDR + or = 1.0. Obviously this could be raised or lowered if need be. Then you could have a vote to kick players (same team only) for the trolls who kill so many of their teammates in a match or if they exceed so many kills on their teammates in an hour, then they could disable FF automatically, or temporarily ban the player if necessary. This is just an idea though.
