i did this once already but can’t remeber. i am trying to make a shortcut on my desktop to load my maps that need testing. at the end of this string i need to add developer sv_pure gametype and map name but i can’t remember that right way to do it.“C:\Program Files\Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory\ET.exe”
shortcut to load map
there is an excellent utilty by erik-ftn that lets you test your maps easily,
http://user.tninet.se/~fzo823r/
start w_et in devmap mode, the way i use it is i have it in my editing et
folder, i create a shortcut to it on my quicklaunch bar, ( you could also
have the shortcut on your desktop )
one you start it up, you just need to type in the map name and it does the
rest for you.
its about a 1/4 of the way down that page.
That is a great link RayBan! I started mappin off Nibs Tute’s!..Good times brother!
I think what he’s looking for is to set up his own desktop shortcut to quicktest his own map, right Piggy? (ever in ICE clan?)
Piggy, this’s what you’re looking for brother:
“C:\Program Files\Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory\ET.exe” +set sv_pure 0 +set g_gametype 2 +devmap map_name
Don’t put any extra spaces or it won’t work correctly.
On another note, I’m half outta my tree and want to share some awesome music with you guys! Hope you like Earl Scruggs!
I use this shortcut, so i don’t have to look in console for messages:
<pathtoyourmappenstein>\ET.exe +g_gametype 2 +warmup 3 +sv_pure 0 +developer 1 +con_drawnotify 1 +scriptdebug 1 +logfile 1 +devmap <yourmapname>
…
“C:\Program Files\Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory\ET.exe” +set sv_pure 0 +set g_gametype 2 +devmap map donny thats what i got and it’s not working no fing clue and yes the map is in the right spot. S14y3r your right on the money as to what i want and no i was never in that clan been in =WF= for ever come and have a look at ower Wodanfire servers. My tag is =WF= Pigg
works fine for me with +set
in the part: +devmap map donny , try spelling like +devmap map_donny, and name the bsp the same too. q3 doesn’t like spaces :x
You can also associate *.bsp file with wolfet.exe to lauch arbitrary bsp file by double clicking it on demand.
And optionally *.map file with radiant though this requires a script run time.
