Shooting not knifing

Sometimes see people at a mid-range distance from me knifing madly, at the same time I’m receiving bullet damage from them.

I’m guessing it’s getting stuck in the knife animation after an uber-fast weapon switch, but really I got no idea. :smiley:

Not sure if it’s related but after using the knife to gib I often get locked into a knifing animation until I switch back to my main gun which causes it to stop, otherwise I just keep knifing away even if I’m not actually touching my mouse or keyboard.

Do You press Shift while gibbing with the knife?

I suppose it’s possible since I could be eager to get sprinting after a gib, but there have been times when I’ve been crouched over an enemy and not moving whilst I’ve gibbed only for my knife to go crazy. I’ll keep an eye on it next time I play and see what happens.

Mustang’s bug, assuming this was the only repro, was due to revived players sometimes appearing to have the wrong weapon! Good news is that it has been fixed for the next patch.

It seems that there is something wrong with the knife.
I have the bug when I press attack when the knife is in my hand and shift at the same time, I get in an infinit knife loop

It could very well be, I’ve had cases where I’ve thrown 2-3 med packs at once without meaning to, I guess you don’t notice it as much with ammo/health packs because you only have so many on cool down.

After playing today I think it definitely has something to do with sprinting since that’s when it happens the most.
