shooter_mortar, how?

How do you set up a shooter_mortar?
I didn’t find too much on it here.
I made a tracemap, added a shooter_mortar and an info_notnull.
Does it need any scripting?
Can you set time intervals between shots?

U need some kind of trigger to fire it.

If you are looking at using the same type of effect used in the RTCW map Beach then u need several entitys.

U nead several shooter_mortars targeting info_notnull also set a variance so that they arent that accurate.

Target the shooter_mortars with target_delay and set some wait so that they dont fire all the time.

target the target_delay with a triggler multiple that spans over a large area on the map.

If you want to target more mortars than 1 at a time u should use target_relay so u can fire em off random. The target_relay also has some other usefull thinigs like teamonly settings and so!

That gave me the idea to look at mp_beach, got it all figured out now :wink:
