They shows me fine Gerbil. Nice work. Maybe the terrain looks bland without a variations but nothing that few bushes and grass models would not fix.
you can make it in time there is still 8 days to go.
My map is still missing these things:
- Multiple spawn entities. (only one per team now)
- Support for LMS (adding some ladders and maybe health/ammo cabs)
- Layout 70% done
- Detail 20% done.
- Lighting 10% done
objectives and scriting is done so that I can be proud of.
BTW. can I somehow set global lightmapscale… now I set it in worldspawn but it doesn’t affect the func_group entities. I can set them also to higher lightmapscale but are there some global scale you are using… maybe force scale in q3map2?
The screenshots from everyone are looking gorgeous!

=O as big as the allied house… why you want it so small? surely a map that small would be over in like 2 minutes

I was doing a straight warehousey thing,m but decided that had been done, so am going for ‘deserted warehouse (apart from sneaky axis base)’ look, so over grown and a bit rundown. Textures are still temp, as is everything. Trouble is, only done the outside and got 3 more layers to go (although may drop that down to 2 to give more ceiling height to outside so grenades don’t vanish when thrown up!).
How do I exactly set up that _lightmapscale? And how do I crank up the resolution for my lightmaps in general?
in your worldspawn entity have the following:
key = lightmapscale
value = 0.0 < 1.0
1.0 is normal resolution, 0.5 is twice the resolution, 0.25 is four times etc.
My map is compiled with:
-bsp -patchmeta -subdivisions 2 -meta
-vis -saveprt
-light -fast -samples 3 -bounce 8 -gamma 1.65 -patchshadows -v
q3map2_2.5.12
The main room (function_group) has a “_lightmapscale” value “0.0625” and the rest of the map is at “0.125” (odd size, but it does mean my pk3 is now down to just over 4Mb
)
Ehm, my radiant wo’t allow me to add the lightmapscale key/value pair to the world spawn?
And besides that, how do i fix the lighting on patches? as you can see from these shots:

I know this ain’t much to show off yet, but maybe you’re interested anyways… This is about half a day worth of mapping so far (ignore the HoMs

Wow real nice maps, and all have sweet lighting
I’d say mine is around 80% done but back in work tonight so for me it only leaves 1-2 days left to map 
Dont think my map will stand up to most here, but i put the time/effort in so i’ll have it finshed and submited for monday 
About the league thing, i got a server we could use for people to test the maps and run a mini league on, mappers only or open league whatever.
all the maps shown so far are looking fantastic, i hope there is another similar compo in the future when im not so busy with real life so i can enter as well

You still have time till next wednesday ot thurday morning when I check my mails. As I sayed before the combo ends then.
-First I check that everything is fine with maps the source is 1024^3
etc. and there is no offensive content and no conflicts with other maps.
-Second I build a one huge pk3 to everyone to download and review then we shall have fun and play them! hooray!
I still have to go to work so maybe I will manage to get the pk3 out in next weeks friday. we will see… at least I report status here.

i’m having a really hard time to work on my map because i always give schoolwork priority, and this week i’m really drowning in the school work
…
i hope that i find time in the weekend to work on my map again but i fear the worst :banghead:
