well, they’re back up, no update that I noticed and no word from Nexon about any of it

Those downtimes have nothing to do with the game as it is, but with the launcher as i understood it. The launcher is what logs you into the game via its loginserver, but if the launcher loginserver is offline, you cant log into the game. The game itself may even still be online at this point. If theres another maintenance on wednesday next week, try to start the game before the sc starts, you may be able to stay in the game though.
