Server with true level limit.

Servers with level limit. Servers divide into
1-6,
7-12,
13-25,
no level limits.
ofc those level number could be changed.
This is just a concept, seen some games use this concept.

In my opinion, this should help balance a lot. Currently min 10 and min 20 are not strong enough to prevent people from killing new players, killing playerbase. Since the fact that the majority of the servers have no limits. And not all the players with higher skill level are willing to play in min 10 or min 20

Maybe people could list the pro and con for it ?

Well, as i see the future CMM system, it should separate players in such a similar way.

I know level doesn’t really mean a thing except for the knowledge of the game, but as for me, i see a total level separating like this :
1-6 : you learn the game, your merc’s job and maps
7-15/20 : you go deep in the game mechanics, trick jumps, unlock and learn other mercs
15/20+ : you go deeper in tactical teamplay and practice your aiming skill. At this level, you should be able to coordinate easily with other players.

There wouldn’t be a single “no level limit” because a lvl 20+ fighting a lvl 1 isn’t really fun for any of those two, and even if they play together, the experience gap between them is too high to benefit the new player (he wouldn’t understand how and why his team is winning).

@Ptiloui
First of all, Thanks to the old forum old bug, which I can’t quote on mobile.

Second I do agree the interpretation of different level gap that’s done by you. Which is why I want to have this concept in this game.

Third, no level limit server should be available with very very few amount of it. Which for me I would say for those who like to get rekt by high skill level or for those who wants to play with their friend who has much higher level on their account.

ofc, CMM might just like what you said, works kinda same to the concept of this thread. But I believe Changing server’s level limit would take much less time than a program which is being “working on” for months. Haven’t heard any useful news about CMM for a period of time.

The problem I see with that is for the smaller servers like aus who barely have enough players to run during the day. It would segregate the players to much even if there was a no limit server. There would be no way high level players like myself would be able to find games consistently, because lower level people would try and only stay in their level bracket most of the time.

Didn’t think about it :open_mouth: And I agree.

I guess that after the MOFO update, they will be working hard on the CMM, as it’s the last step to release Dirty Bomb final form (with Turtle of course, and why not another change regarding to crafting system ?). At least I hope…

a good scrubdestroyer destroys scrubs everywhere, on any level. a complaining scrubdestroyer isnt a scrubdestroyer.

There are level 60s who can barely go positive K:D in the game, levels mean next to nothing after level 20 and is a bad thing to base balance off of.

Ranked would do this better, where any players skill is tied to rank. We still have older players in the level 10-15 bracket who occasionally come back and who would destroy today’s players of a similar level.

(B_Montiel) #9

Not only on aus, this would also segregate players too much on the most crowded region. Especially considering the CMM / current player attendance duality.

I can’t agree no more as old Asia server guy. But if DB had enough player base to solve this, there won’t be any excuse about stomping poor newbies under level 20.
