I have a bit of argument with the friend of mine about server visibility on server list. I have installed 2.60b on my PC and I am able to connect to all servers with 2.60b, 2.60 and 2.55+ W:ET versions but I can’t connect to server with 2.55…what’s more with 2.60b installed on my PC I am able to view servers from 2.60b, 2.60 and 2.55+ on serverlist (that server list I run via et.exe) but I can’t see servers with 2.55 installed. Is that all true?

Also you must know the Et Version of 2.60b 2.60 and 2.55 are using the Protocoll ID 84. The Version 2.55 (maybe 2.56 too, but i dont know) use the protocoll id 82. So, your Et, when you have the version 2.60b showing now only all servers with the protoll id 84.
For both side visibility you need Serverfacade + 2.55+ Patch

That’s true.
Normally you can’t see 2.55 servers in the serverlist of 2.6b, only the servers who are running 2.55+ and the a special tool(I use it aswell) will be showed in the serverlist of .6b too.
Asfare as I know you can’t see servers of 2.55(normally installed)

So if I have 2.55 version on PC then I won’t be able to connect to server with2.55+, right?

Yes you can : 2.55+ Server are always showed in 2.55 Serverlist. Only with a special tool the can be in both serverlists.
