Server setup issue

(Feelgood) #1

Ok, couple things I cant seem to get right, hopefully someone here knows.

How do I keep the servers at 16 slots? For some reason, they will at times revert to only 8 slots. Is it a bot or autobalance thing? What settings do I need to change to force it to stay at 16 slots?

Also, how do I make it so there are not bots? I tried “bot_enabled 0” but that did not see to work.

Thanks

Do you run a dedicated box with multiple servers?

If so you may need to add to the command line +set fs_userpath directoryofserver

When running multiple dedicated servers on the same machine they all use the same brinkdedconfig.cfg located in My Documents. When you set the fs_userPath it causes the server to use the server directory as the My Documents folder and creates a brinkdedconfig.cfg in the base folder in your servers directory.

Just figured this out about a half hour ago.

Yes.

Already do. Here is a typical command line…

+set fs_savepath c:\brink1 +set fs_basepath c:\brink1 +set fs_userpath c:\brink1 +set si_maxplayers 16 +set net_serverPort 27015 +set net_serverPortMaster 27016 +set exec_maxThreads 2

I know. Unfortunately I dont think this is the issue.

You did not post a .cfg for your server so I don’t know for certain that the problem is related.

What I think you’re seeing is your server getting “hijacked” by the matchmaking system for challenge maps, the documentation tells you to turn this off by setting net_allowServerHijacking 0 but in reality the cvar is called net_serverAllowHijacking - try setting it to 0.
