Ya my cost of bandwidth by running the server for one week went up almost a 100$ lol thats a lot of money perhaps there is a bandwidth bug or they could introduce some new netcode in a patch or something cause thats outrageous!

ET isnt a bandwidth hog :slight_smile:

Actually it is remarkable if you compare it to the competition.

A 32 player server with default setting will approx cost you a T1 (1.5 mbps up / 0.500-0.600 mbps down) a second.

Sure you need a good connection but if you see all the things that has to be transmitted to keep the game running i applaud SD for the good netcode.

I do remeber battlefield 1942 server :slight_smile: before you knew it it was doing like 10 mbps a second now thats what i call a bandwidth hog :wink:

As promised, Activision has just released the Windows and Linux server update (people running the clients do NOT need this) for their free multiplayer addon Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory.
