Serious DevTeam Seeking Members

(Java.Lang) #1

The Lang DevTeam is seeking talented people interested in taking their skills to the next level.

We have just released the Beta of our first ET map Pitch Black. Bearing a long lifespan of Enemy Territory, we will be begining work on a new map which will offer fresh, new gameplay.

The Lang DevTeam is a serious organization looking to hone their skills to eventually work on a standalone project. By using individual maps as a stepping-stone, it is our goal to be a symbol of originality in an otherwise sea of redundancy.

If you have an interest, or just wish to learn more about this, please email me at java (at) darkenedlabs (dot) com.

Serious inquiries only.

I’m wondering who is part of that team.

I’m not a salesman, but I wouldn’t call prospective teammate’s work redundant. lol I’m just busting. It sounds interesting.

are you trying to be offensive?

i doubt it. there is a lot of redundancy, but not so much in ET mapping as in, say, CoD mapping. ugh, 95% of the maps for CoD blow, whereas in ET so many of the mappers are actually engrossed in their projects. but yes, there still is a decent amount of crap floating around

Its a great idea! I think there is a lot of talent here that could make some really amazing maps. Better for a lot of people building the pyramids of Egypt, than one individual trying to take on such a monumental task.

Indeed. We’re not using a “one-mapper, one-map” system. Our mappers are collaborating on all the maps, combining their strengths.

As far as i can tell recently most of the maps that ive seen have had quality. they may not all be great or outstanding but they are certainly not redundant or crap. that’s why i stand bemused by statements made in this thread.
