Seperate skins from load outs,

The skin system I’m referring to, still has the same RNG mechanic of the previous system. W

You seem to have misunderstood me, I’m not saying to seperate skins into a seperate shop, I’m saying to seperate skins by having them equipable onto loadouts.

Skins would still only be acquirable through cases, and If I remember correctly, I’m pretty sure I suggested that elite cases would only contain the skins (or card sleeves, in my suggestion), thus making Elite Skin Cases more worth their money, as they don’t have a shitty loadout attached to it.

Okay. You seem to misunderstand me too. You suggest a elite case with several skins. Lets say 7 different (2 silver, 3 gold, 2 cobalt). You buys a case and get one of them. This technically means, you have a perfect silver/gold/cobalt merc card from your first case since you can buy perfect card with Credits. This lowers the RNG by x27(xX) (9 loadout cards, 3 different weapons, multiple different sidearms and melee) leaving you only with the RNG of 1/7xMerc Number (My math is stupid, I know, but still, you get the thing I mean, hopefully) :cold_sweat:

Lower RNG in cases means people will get to their goal faster and Sniff will get a good cobalt Arty before he is old, and the House won’t always win.
so… I actually don’t mind the RNGness. What can I say, im a bit of a gambler, and if it were super easy to get the exact loadouts and looks i wanted for every merc, it would be one less thing to work towards.

That said, in a super RNG based system, I believe you need the ability to trade/sell somehow. Ive opened up 2 cobalts in my career, a phantom (no katana) and a vasili. hate both classes. but if i could trade my vasili to someone with a kira or a class i play that would be awesome
Don’t get me wrong, I love RNG-boxes like the next gamer. My issue comes from what’s in 'em vs. how much the cost. Elite cases, as they stand, have nothing I would feel “worth” the £3.99 cost (or slightly less if you buy more, I know).

It all comes down to what you’re gambling on when you buy that box. If I knew I would get a merc skin or weapon skin from a box, I’d be more inclined to try I think. Some kind of trade (not necessarily steam market integration) or way to convert items you find useless into something that isn’t would be very nice. I feel like I’m destined to be stuck with my Obsidian loadout for Vassili, the one merc I will likely never play.

I would love it if they did this.

Elite cases are simply not worth their cost due to how lucky you have to be. I will not spend money on something dictated by RNGesus. There ought to be a much better way of getting revenue than this asinine system.
