Sensitivity Lowers when Alt-Tabbing

(Supa) #1

For whatever reason this has been happening more and more recently. Every time I alt-tab out the game and get back in, I all of a sudden only have a 180 degree turn or even less across my entire mousepad, even though I usually have 360 degrees. Even after I type in “setsensitivity 13” which is my sensitivity of choice, it doesn’t fix the issue.

The only thing that fixes it is to completely restart my game most of the time. Sometimes I don’t even need to alt-tab, it is just like this when I start the game. Sometimes it fixes itself after 5 minutes or so, while most of the time it just stays abnormally low. Is there a known fix to this I don’t know about?

Thanks for your time,

Supa

When I alt-tab, I don’t really experience any performance issues but I do have display ones (health bar, objective indicators missing etc…)

It eventually fixes itself after a few minutes or I need alt-tab multiple times.
Do you play in full screen mode or “windowed”?

Full Screen

Luckily got some footage of this while I was in a switchlevel private game practicing my movement.

It seems as though it is tied to the cpu usage. The instant it snapped back, the CPU usage displayed went down to the 50-60 range. Is this the reason why?

Welp, appears I have answered my own question. You can disregard this thread.

I had no idea the cpu usage would mess with the sensitivity. You can close this now, I will mess with affinity and priority on other running processes so it doesn’t put such a load on my cpu.
