Sense of perspective problem?

(Duraigo) #1

I was just wondering if anyone else had this problem where when you go into the 3rd person mode while doing an objective, your character looks completely different from what you have.

(wolfnemesis75) #2

Yes. This gets cleared up once you start the next match. It seems to be an issue occasionally when entering a match in progress. By the next match, it clears up. 3rd person view is cool. I had it on a dude for a while. When I respeced, I sacrificed it in order to get Grenade Shooting which is a must have against higher level players.

It only changes to your apperance after you die and respawn.Or ^^^above me^^^^

Cool. Just wondering was all.

My only issue with this perk is that I cannot crouch while using and capping a command post or something. I can crouch without it and avoid a load of bullets but in the 3rd person mode I can’t. I see a flaw in the desing here.

You crouch before capping a command post and you stay crouched. Try it.

Off topic: Is a mossington and a Bulpdaun a good combo?

(wolfnemesis75) #9

Sure. Just do whatever to max equip speed. So no Shield attachment. You want to be able to get to Bulpdaun fast if need be since mossington is CQC weapon. That’d be my philosophy.

(Duraigo) #10

Thats what im doing

(1111) #11

I bet I’ve tried this now and then but cannot remember if it works. I recall my character standing up but I’m not sure.

(wolfnemesis75) #12

Oh, it works.
Hot Tip: You can stand on CP and crouch and look at your dude too.

(Duraigo) #13

Thanks for the tip good sir.

Yep, though I’d say it’s a matter of how often you use the mossington. If it’s being used as a secondary, fitting a support role, you should keep in mind that you could use the bulpdaun as a primary with a faster body type - the light. So then the question would be, based on the amount you use the mossington, is it worth being the medium type and giving up the extra mobility you’d have by using the light body type?

Regardless, just use what you’re most comfortable with, you’ll always play better with weapons you’re comfortable with and like using than trying to force something else. One thing I think they nailed in Brink is the amount of loadouts you can customize based on your style of playing. I don’t know if I’d ever tell anyone weapon x and weapon y is a bad combo because at the end of the day it’s all up to style of playing.

For instance, I use two SMGs as a medium body type and I think having another smg as a secondary is worth giving up the mobility I would have as a light, but I know tons of people feel differently.

Thats what i’ve been doing. As soon as the match starts, i switch to the Bulpdaun as my primary and the moss. when the time is right.

Actually what happens is, it’s difficult for the game to render many unique appearences at once so it gradually loads them in. I believe, if my memory serves me correctly, one of the developers saying that the appearences of your character renders in while you watch the cut-scene; if this were true then watching the cut-scenes during matches would probably clear this up for you.

Yeah, I used to be a 3rd person perspective user, thinking that watching guys sneak up was the greater use. But there are so many more advantages to being able to move around the objective. Founders Tower is a great example of this when you remove the detonator. You can almost take cover from enemies by wrapping yourself around the left or right hand side.

dieing does not fix, change class 5 times quickly and it fixes, me and wayne(the randy ninja) tested this.
