I think he just wanted to show off his stellar expresion in his profile pic, he should put that bad boy up on a dating website somewhere! :infiltrator:

(dommafia) #62

ah k. One more to the ignored list

(Hansi) #63

Brink is now on position 3 (pc version), 7 (ps3) and 8 (xbox) on amazon germany:

(madoule) #64

 that’s freaking good news… way to go SD

(Coolaguy) #65

Bump.

Update: I’d say that Brink is still on track for 300,000 pre-order units sold. However, the Xbox 360 underperformed the linear trend by ~5,000 and the PS3 made up the losses with greater-than-expected gains.

Kind of off-topic and kind of on topic at the same time. But I got a text about 30mins ago from a buddy who works at Gamestop. Said they got their shipment of Brink in today. The game is at the stores. GAH

I’m glad to see all the new vids coming out as well, and on facebook too. Seems that viral marketing is the best bet as opposed to TV commercials. I’ve been trying to make sure that I “re-post” Brink’s Facebook messages onto my own FB page so everyone possible can get the hint.

I hope Brink does amazing in ratings and sales. SD really deserves it for their work of art

Updated op

Hells yes, Gears of War 3 and BRINK making themselves look good

I think Splash really succeeded with this idea for a game

How many pre-orders does Brink have on PC? I’m not seeing a number like I am with both consoles.

(Zarlor) #71

Well, Valve famously has told everyone it’s not important for you to know how many copies of a game has sold -they only tell the publisher this info. I know there are lot of brick and mortar stores which allow you to pre-order as well, but if you’re not going to see the digital sales, then those numbers will not be accurate. The best you can do it see where it is on the Steam top sellers list and right now it’s #6 which is very good.

(DarkangelUK) #72

Brink still sitting at #1 on D2D’s top 10 \o/

(Apoc) #73

Yes iv been searching, but as valve wont show, and other digital retailers like d2d dont either, we can only guess at the figures and just use their top sellers lists as referance as zarlor said. Problem is most people on pc have converted to digital coppies, with a few but definately not the majority still being bought in stores (this is only a problem for finding out sales figures, i prefer the switch over)

(kratier) #74

VG chartz has always failed at delivering accurate numbers, do not list them as a source, ever.

(Apoc) #75

Haha. Ok. My lord. Any other commands you wish me to perform?

But yea, im going to list them, as they are the only source we have that gives any sort of numeric figure. Which i feel is important in a sales thread.

(Herandar) #76

Better than no information, and since there don’t seem to be any other sources with this data, I’ll take it.

(Sheza) #77

Sort of related, if there is a better topic to post this in let me know.

GAME (UK Retailer) have changed their online site to better promote Brink and because of this have modified their prices, as the original one’s didn’t make much sense.

PC Special Edition
Before: £29.99
Now: £27.99

Xbox 360 Standard Edition

Before: £39.99
Now: £36.99

Playstation Standard Edition
Before: £39.99
Now: £36.99

And since I’m talking about GAME,

4th place in Xbox 360 pre-order chart.
14th place in Playstation 3 pre-order chart (oh dear).
9th place in PC pre-order chart.

(Mustang) #78

Why didn’t the original one’s make sense?
I am perfectly happy to pay an extra £5 for two pre-order packs

Both console standard and special editions used to be £39.99… so no point getting the standard AT ALL. Except now it’s a little bit cheaper.

(Mustang) #80

I see, didn’t ever look at the console prices myself

There were previously several PC options though
Standard: £24.99
Special: £29.99
Digital: £29.99

Looks like it is now
Standard: Removed
Special: £27.99
Digital: £29.99
