select texture face under GtkRadiant 1.5.0

(omega_q2) #1

anyone know how to select a certain texture face under gtkradiant 1.5.0? it used to be (in 1.4.0) that I could use the ctrl+shift+left click to select a face. it doesn’t seem to work anymore.

with brush selected press F and click the sides you want texturing

thanks a lot. any idea why they removed the other way from 1.5.0? one more question: is there a way to get the devmap command in ET to not freeze?

When does it freeze?
When you try to open limbo?
Then try to search the forum for mapcoordsmins and/or mapcoordsmaxs.

i think he means when loading it, iam not sure how to do it but i do get same problem the way i get around it is to /map first then after that loaded /devmap it, strange but it works for me, ill look around see if anyone has come up with a real solution

If you use a clean install of mapping (i.e. not the one you have a zillion custom .pk3 files downloaded into), you most likely won’t have those problems with /devmap. It also saves you from accidently using textures from other customs, without noticing.

As to why the interface was changed, you’d have to ask spog. Most likely, he likes it the new way :moo:

yeah thats what i figured out as well chr1s. seems to work fine that way.

but i would take reyalP’s advice, do a clean install of ET and use it for your mapping needs, something i havent yet got around to :???:
