Seeing opponents mercs

I wonder why you can see opponents mercs with Tab? In pre-game lobby you cant see them but in-game you can. Ain’t that bit of stupid? Takes away scouting aspect of game.

Can you see them in competitive too?

You can see them in the lobby as well, as long as you’re in the lobby before the game starts. Not sure why they don’t show up for people who join in progress though.
