Security Missions Difficulty?.

Started from scratch on a new character because on my 20 it doesnt have a difficulty completed status to the side or anything. Like I beat it on hard and on versus it should say what level of difficulty I beat it on somewhere kinda stupid its not there.

But anyways why are the Security missions so much more difficult than the Resistance?.

On the 1st mission for security things seem to be going fine before you blow up the door. But once its on the escort every time 3 or so human players pop up just to make it that much harder camping the objective turrets everywhere. I figured getting up the stairs/walkway was the hard part. But once the escort is outside all the enemy does it put mines down everywhere with turrets outside while 2 or so people camp the lift for whoever is unfortunate enough to try and flank them. Its always me with some retarded a.i. just standing there being useless with me being the only player trying to revive the escort  its very frustrating and annoying.

The security missions do seem a bit harder, but I think thats because they have more offensive/escort missions. And offence is hard with every member of the other team sitting in one spot waiting for you.

And with the AI hacking being what it is, mission 2 is hard and mission 6 is impossible. (for me, so far)

Each has its hard missions. Shipyard Security is the most difficult, imo.

I found that the secret to hacking when playing solo (with bots) is to expect no cover or support of any kind. Throw down some caltrops if you have them but keep an eye on the radar. If anything comes close, break the hack, take them down and then return to hacking. It might take you a little while but it’s a strategy that has worked for me in the past.

Easier said then done when enemies spawn 5 at a time close by and your teammates have a very long travel distance from your spawn.
And they’ll remove your hacktool before you get back and you will have lost all previous progress.

yeah security on shipyard was annoying and i felt like smashing my keyboard… some of my tips on that map:

the first mission on security (shipyard) you have to repair the crane. rush to the main entrance as soon as you spawn so you can defend that area before it’s saturated. i used engineer and i setup a turret to the left of the crane and put a couple mines around that area as well. with that done i had decent amount of time to repair… the key here is try not to die or you’ll be pushed back. keep the team at bay and your bot team will help keep them back as you repair.

the next mission on shipyard i did as engineer as well… as an engy i put a turret to the right of the hacking console and put a couple mines to the left of it to keep them from coming forward. continue keeping the other team at bay and if you manage to do that the operative bots on your team should hack fairly quickly. i tried doing this level as operative so i could do the hacking myself but it’s way more difficult since there isn’t a whole lot of cover, so the best thing is to provide the cover for the bots and they’ll do the work… try not die when the hacking is in progress otherwise before you know it the enemy will move forward and you’ll be pushed back losing time…

also as an engineer buff your team as much as possible…

I wonder if people would have less of an issue with this game if the friendly AI were removed entirely. I played with zero expectations toward friendly AI and it felt like a good, crazy difficult, game. If they weren’t there at all I think it’d feel less frustrating.
