Second wasted Cobalt trade up...

(Kouken) #1

Got my second set of 6 unusable Gold Loadouts and once again traded up to a Cobalt card I will never use,
I even spent $ on a few cases to make up the difference here and there.

I dont care if this is the millionth thread on the issue, this needs to be addressed as soon as possible.

Give us rerolls, trade downs, or the ability to buy the EXACT loadout we want at a premium price.

Saving up all these loadouts only to be disappointed completely kills the game and makes me not want to play.

Get this sorted already

I don’t understand, you say “Get this sorted already” like that isn’t the whole point of the system.

It’s meant to be a gambling money sink, the whole system is designed in such a way that getting what you want is unlikely. Not just unlikely but very unlikely.

This is how they make money, this is the F2P system - well one of - you guys brought it on yourselves by feeding it and choosing F2P games over games with a price tag.

Sad reality.

I’m fine with this system, i can buy anything ingame that matter for the gameplay without spending AND i can get the cosmetics also for free if i get lucky? Best f2p system ever

F2P system is great, but card system not so much. I would have much prefered own weapons and own augments.

Good for those of us that can control our wallets.

On the other hand it’s great for cheaters since there’s no paywall and content is stagnated instead of being 100% available on release - not that the game is released yet but hardly the point.

(Faraleth) #7

The ONLY issue I have with the system is the fact that “useless” cobalts are legitimately useless. It would be nice to have some sort of “trade down” option for those cards…

As for the cost and RNG of getting the cards you want - doesn’t bother me at all. As cannyEdition said, you can buy any specific loadout you want in the game for credits, in bronze.

The only thing you are grinding for is to look FABULOUS! The grind/cost of this is irrelevant because it doesn’t matter to the gameplay at all. Plus, I like it, as it gives me something to work towards. c:

You can buy any loadout on the ingame store, but oh, they are not cobalt, uhhhhh, what a loss, I can’t impress all those ppl who don’t care with my stupid cobalt loadout which is exactly as good as a bronze one I can buy.

People don’t realise how much a simple feature such as skin can bring to a game like DB. Just look at CS:GO and how many players the introduction of skins as brough to the game. Without talking about betting website.
This is a must to do if SD want to bring a LOT of news players. I’m not saying this a feature to work on immediatly, the game need to be more stable (Who said AC?) but yeah this is something very important in a FPS game.

Cobalts are the top tier rarity. The Crème De La Crème in DB. They reflect a lot of effort and a lot of time invested in the game. Yes, DB has a lovely RNG system. I have a bit of a moral stand against gambling, so I don’t agree with it, but that’s just me.

But in the case of Cobalts being the top level of rarity, a nod of “hey you busted your chops for this” to roll and get what we want isn’t a lot to ask for. If SD wants my money, I’ll happily give it to get what I want in return. Simple logic.

Devs already said there would be a way to reroll Cobalts eventually, so they get this. It will obviously come with a pricetag though, or some sort of catch. I have the feeling that for each cobalt we own we may be able to purchase reroll tokens or something silly like that. In the end, they will find a way to still make money. Obviously. But I think a lot of people would be fine with that.

It is nice to have some sort of reroll/trade system for useless cobalts yes, but you’re making it sound like it should be easy to obtain the exact loadout you want for every merc in cobalt. It is a gamble system and gambling comes with both winning and losing, heck out of the eight cobalts I got 6 aren’t the loadouts I’m looking for.

Just get all the loadouts you want in bronze first and keep these, then start gambling since it’s all just cosmetic anyway.

(MTLMortis) #12

RNG is RNG. You obviously have not prayed to RNGeezus hard enough.

(Hazard) #13

Hopefully there will be a system where you can trade higher-tier cards for the exact card that you want. For example, you give up 3 cobalts, in return you get the exact gold loadout that you want

(cornJester) #14

Whaaaat?! THREE cobalts for ONE gold? I don’t care if it’s the best gold in the entire world, spending that much time and or money on three cobalts just to turn it into a gold is not reasonable at all. Needs to be much cheaper, one cobalt at most (not that I agree with the exact gold idea but whatever the system is it needs to only require one cobalt.)

(Sinee) #15

You on that good kush, mate.

(Badger_Commander) #16

More likely trading down would cost the same as it does to trade up and you get 1 less card in return.

(Edzer) #17

Imo you should only get 3 golden cards back out of the 6. Has to stay a gamble, just losing one card won’t make it feel like a gamble.

I was just throwing a number out there, but if you happen to get a shite Cobalt, like I did, there’s pretty much zero value to it

(Amerika) #19

You know how trade-ups work. You know the chances on what you’ll get when opening cases. Making a forum post to vent isn’t something that you need to be doing. If you have a logical point to make then proceed to make a thread for it. But this isn’t a place to simply vent anger. Closing.
