Second character erase the first one.

Hi !

I pre-ordered BRINK on steam 9 month ago, so I have the Spec ops pack. Yesterday a friend gave me a Doom pack key because he got 2 of them.

I entered the key it worked. As I already had a character with dog tag tatoo, I create a second to see the Hallspawn Tatoo. I accidentally manage to apply the tatoo on the character ( you know, when you switch between Security and resistance sometime… ) and when i got back to choose my first char, he was replaced by an exact copy of my second one’s appearance except that the lvl was still good.

I first though it was a bug that happen once, but actually, each time i create a character with a Doom item, he can sometime erase the character up ( the third erase the second etc… )

I wanted to report this bug because it’s really annoying and i’m not the only one to experienced it.

I hope my english wasn’t as bad as i think it is, I’m french so you know… when I have to explain a complicated situation… :wink:

I experienced something like this, however it didn’t erase my first character. It simply made my second character number 1 on the character select screen. I did not have any pre-order content on either characters at the time this happened.

This is what happened… my 1st character became an EXACT copy of my second except for the level.

Fortunatly I manage to get my old character back with a previous save I had on my laptop computer.

If anyone want’s to backup character, they are in this folder :

…\Steam\userdata\43896741\22350\remote

I replace this files and it worked !

But I hope this will be fixed soon anyway !

I know it’s stupid to say that, but some dev team just don’t care about bugs… so thank you SD for paying attention to this message.
