Sdk?

I know its pretty early to ask this, but i just want to know if there will be an SDK on release? I think it would be awesome and very useful for the game if its modder-friendly. (Take a look at ET - 10 years old and is still getting played!)

You really don’t need to wait for an SDK. It uses the Unreal Engine which you can download freely (just search UDK). If you make the entire level and all the textures from scratch (unless you get them from the files of DirtyBomb) you can already start building the level. Though since this is a free to play game I’m all that sure there will be an SDK. Other F2P shooters generally don’t have that. It would be really great if custom maps and such were allowed of course.

edit: http://www.unrealengine.com/udk/ there you could download it.

thx, i already downloaded it as i saw the first dirtybomb trailer^^
but as i know from rtcw/et and the GTKRadiant there will be (new) DirtyBomb Entitys wich arent included in the UDK, right?

edit: i just installed the udk now - what should i choose here? what is what?

I think you did something wrong lol :stuck_out_tongue: That’s for making Playstation related levels. Not sure I can help you as I’m using a slightly older version of UDK.

Hadn’t seen the thread before and it’s actually really nice to read they’re thinking about releasing a SDK. It actually would kind of set DirtyBomb apart from other F2P shooter games.
