What has happened recently? Recently my fps has dropped insanely from 80ish to 45ish. Whats going on? I havent downloaded any new apps and havent changed my configs. But for some reason, few days ago my fos has deen dropping. It now stays at 45 and feels really stuttery. Is this a strategy the devs r using? Like black friday where u increase prices few days before the sale and drop it back to the original price? Reducing fps so when the update comes out the devs put it back so they can say they increased performance? Im not the only one in this. SD, u mind?
SD, u mind?
must have been that magic update a few days ago, the one where SD controls your computer
or it could be Nexon’s servers being craptastic… again
Literally don’t understand all these posts people are putting up about framerate drops. I’ve never seen any noticeable frame issues that make the game remotely unplayable. Either I’m just not spoiled with 18k fps as I swear all you all must be getting to complain this much, or it’s really not that big of an issue.
Every system is different, so any change is different for different people. I never had FPS problems aswell for over a year. After the Summer Squash my FPS got halved for no apparent reason.
I’m one of the rare people who has never had FPS issues on Dome, until the last 2-3 days.
The last 2-3 days I’ve dropped from a stable 140-150 FPS on all areas of the map to 45-60 map on Dome with huge input delay on the mouse when the frames drop to 45.
There has been no update as far as I’m aware, so what gives? Could it be server related or something? It’s literally so bad for me right now I legit can’t play Dome.

same here, i havent had FPS issues since i downloaded DB in 2015
a lot of places are suffering from DDOS attacks since Oct 21, this might be related but I doubt anyone will admit to it
I’m getting stutters at 100 FPS, like the game is lagging, not my display of the game, very weird, also getting server lag when I have low ping, same as my enemies
It’s weird how everyone complains about Dome’s performance, but Bridge is the worst map, both in design and performance (for me anyways). I get tons of FPS drops on Bridge and the lag can be unbearable at times. Dome normally plays smoothly for me, for the most part.
I believe it has something to do with the server. On your right mid screen, there is a sign of connection. Normally it should not appear, but sometimes it will appear as yellow or red. When it is yellow color, you would not feel much difference. However, when it becomes red, you will start to see your ping is good yet your game is lagging. I have asked everyone in the server if that’s just me or not, and everyone confirmed that it is server’s problem, because of everyone is lagging like crazy with normal or low ping.
I have enough FPS to play on any map but some of my friends have to play it 15 avg, 25 max sadly
Tell your friends to try the steps I have described in this thread, it might help them.

There have been a few updates that have turned Thread Sync on for whatever reason and last I checked GeForce experience did the same thing when “optimizing” game settings for DB. This is a small thing but probably turns a lot of new players away from the game.
If editing configs is the only way for some players to improve their experience maybe options for lower settings can be added to the in-game menu at some point? The player that relies on GeForce for their video settings probably isn’t going to want to edit config files to get a decent framerate.

The Geforce auto-optimize thing was supposed to have been fixed a while back but it might be in play again if the change got accidentally reverted or something new popped up. I can test it when I get home.
And you’re most likely right. A lot of people simply want things to work out of the box and I agree with them. Right now some things are definitely not a good experience out of the box. Making easy to use settings or presets that explain what they are doing should be very prominent in the settings. DB could do a much better job in that area for sure.
