SD, please stop bugging me...

(MarsRover) #1

…when I (try to) exit the game. I’ve given you my feedback numerous times. I have nothing to add. If I had, there are other channels, like this forum which you claim to read.

You are wasting my time. Please don’t make me waste yours by putting gibberish in there.

Take your time writing bullshit and pron link

If you want them to stop bugging you, tell them you’re having DPC stacking issues as well… It’s a guaranteed ignore comment.

Thanks! Also great for when the boss is coming and he is enough tech-savvy to check the taskbar

DPC stacking and latency are Windows problems, not UE3 problems, have you tried disabling wifi drivers, use a wired mouse and keyboard ?

But then I would need to be very careful to not accidentally show it while he is talking to me. To much risk man, too much risk.

PS. I don’t even have Windows on my work computer :stuck_out_tongue:

You really have much to learn… I’m too tired tired.

(Xenithos) #14

Okay, since your work computer doesn’t have windows, figure out whatever the alt+f4 equivalent is for that OS and use it in the main menu. It skips all the exit dialogs.

PSA: Alt+F4 still works in the main menu, just not in lobbies or in-game.

We all do dude. And you should learn to get a new computer if you love a game enough. Just like getting an Xbox One for a new halo game. If you love it enough, you’ll do it.

But they are. I was having terrible problems with DPC latency after some windows 10 updates. No issues on this same computer in windows 7 and with earlier windows 10 builds. In my case the culprit was the sound card - Xonar DX. Or at least removing it helped in my particular hardware/software configuration.

Oi! Worktime play is the best. With shitty PC, no sound. At least I’m using my old fixed MX518.

I used to love a game; I was in a team that placed Australia in the top 10 global rankings. The only reason why we can’t score as much is because all of us in Oceana region get pings of over 300ms or over to NA servers. We cannot compete on similar standings because of latency. Two months after I officially ceased engagement, the game began it’s agonising death by decay.

If only computers grew from trees, I would have gotten a replacement without even thinking about it. But truth of the matter is, Dirty Bomb is not the only reason why I have this PC. Prior to SSIII, I put up with a lot of DB’s misgivings as they’re all tolerable by my standards. It’s only after SSIII that I had to get out of my way, ask other ppls take on the matter and possibly work out a solution. So far we’ve got a sure fire way to reset things albeit, inconvenient and sometimes just infuriating.

There will be new title releases in the FPS genre on or before September so maybe my PC might begin to love something else.

Best thing is to just minimize to system tray, then mark that item as “don’t show icon or notifications”. This will keep the game hidden in the system tray under “hidden icons” and even ALT + TAB won’t uncover the game, you have to re-maximize it from the system tray.
(you’ll need a program installed to let you do this)

You know… that, or you could just not playing games at work.

You can always recreate alt+f4 in game via keybinds, just bind f4 and the alt mod key to exit and bam! A whole updates worth of work destroyed in 5 seconds!
