@SD, is gunplay rework still coming ?

I saw a few post about reworking gunplay but its already few month since the first post about this subject, so will it happen any time soon ?

I cant enjoy this game with how limited control i have over some guns (and no its not l2p issue ;p).

I heard that optimisations should be coming soon that hopefully will help people that the game just isn’t feeling good for right now.

Or do you mean something more specific?

There was a post at old nexon forum (by someone from sd, cant recall the name now) few months ago (and i saw it mentione on how they work on it somewhere here in the older topics) that they work on changing how guns behave (in a shortcut) but in order to do it they need to write a new code and that it would take a pretty long time.

I do not know if SD stance on spread/recoil changed but i didnt enjoy gunplay few months ago and i still do not enjoy it :(, its a bit better tho.

Not sure what direction you want them to take, but I personally enjoy the gunplay in its current form. Speed and hipfire accuracy feels nice to me. Currently, I think the game is easy for casual players to have fun with… but there is enough of a skill ceiling that someone like me will get destroyed over and over by a good player.

Currently averaging 38% accuracy, heck I even am getting 35% on the minigun :confused:. Everything feels pretty good for the most part, though some unique weapon types could use some work.

Well few months ago almost no one enjoyed gunplay and as far as i know nothing major was changed (maybe aside from making hit boxes bigger but there might by something else i missed) and if people start to enjoy it then its quite sad news to me and my friends as we dont like how it plays at the moment :(.

Im not really happy about the fact that spread rise is pretty big so its hard to kill more than 2 people in a row(or rather it feels a bit too random) and how iron sights are pretty bad and i barely see anything while using them (especially when you add the recoil). At the moment i dont feel like i ever have full control over my gun (maybe if iron sights were replaced with a dot sight it would be better), which i never felt in any other game (be it ET, CoD, q3 or cs) not counting brink which had the worse gun play ever designed.

Im not really happy with weapon balance as well but that can change multiple times before beta ends so no biggie but they wont change something fundamental closer to release i guess :(.

I think the gunplay is pretty good. The hitbox increase has made things a lot better.

I would like them to change how jump shot works still.

I wouldn’t be against slower spread growth / tighter accuracy. As long as they are going in that direction, and not the other way. :slight_smile:

Actually I would be happy with a faster reset to recoil once you stop shooting… make managing the spray a little more important :slight_smile:

there was a slight decrease of spread. and there was a slight increase of time to the max spread.
am i right?

I am trying to figure out how to say this but 38% is really good but for top shots like you, you should be getting 44%ish with a person like saw… The spread feels good to me until I start strafing or Sprinting forward at someone or an advanced move.

I am also shooting at 38% with Saw and I should check Phoenix and some other ppl…

Smooth said next patch or a patch soon will have spread and other tweaks. This should push our acc past 30’s and into the 40’s.

The question if this does happen is what do you do with TTK? People say it is to fast right now… I love the insta kills at close range but mid range I should be able to insta kill a dude standing still with out wasting bullets… I think this will happen with next patch but TTk will be a ton faster and I am not sure I would like a faster TTK… A slower TTK gives the higher skilled player the advantage. This high of a ROF with even lower spread is scary so I hope its just max spread timings and stuff.

I wonder what SD is going to do about Spawn Times… The really dont seem to be matching up with the maps… I am really worried about this too…

Plus more control over recoil so tapping or bursts are better used…

Important to note is that most of my stats are primarily from playing gathers. I would expect that pubbing against low level players would bring up my accuracy to around that percentage.
