SD forums and Bethesda Forums ?

This is kinda of a stupid matter but since its general discussion … why not ? anyway i been a fan of Bethesda games for a long asz time now . But i dont see how i have to join the SD forums and Bethesda forums to talk about one game. Kind of disorganized if you ask me. Some members may join one Brink forum but not the other. This splits the community in 2 parts. Which is bad since BRINK has a really small community. I think they should combine both forums together and make one seperate BRINK website with its official forums. (YES i know about the BRINK official website whatever) but thats just an advertisement for the game.Yeah iam on the Bethesda forums. I just joined actually i never really got to it i was more into the PC Elder scrolls websites Beth made. But since Brink , i joined the general website now. SD and Beth . like i said this IS a stupid thing to talk so much about but just thought i should let the community know my idea. I think it would unite the community more.

i was more of a Beth player at first . Thats one of the main reasons i found out about BRINK . I created a new Beth account , But since i just joined SD forums i find it kinda tiring to keep up with both BRINK forums. but whatever its not a big deal .

I say keep this forum. The Bethesda forums are too noisy with the Skyrim and other Bethesda titles. I think these forums existed pre Bethesda (back in the activision and Wolfenstein days).

Besides the MODs over there did a software update that broke the Facebook login in the forums.

Yeah iam , this is my main BRINK forum . But i will keep both just in case. Its a shame the community is split . But true BRINK fans will probably settle here.

i wouldn’t say trolls , just avid fans . They love that game. I like the game . I personally played it a lot before . I agree Beth members and SD should unite to make BRINK more appealing to most . But despite all the haters we can hold out here ourselves.

honestly its mostly just trolls baby doll :smiley: i dont like beth mods at all they are completely… horrid.

plus most people here are good trolls anyhowsner. but i like the crowd here and dislike them over there and to collapse them would be a poopy idea.

I just think BRINK needs more members , its not fair all the hate the game gets . Just bc people dont understand it . i was talking to one of my friends the other day and he mentioned he didint like BRINK just because it was soo F****** confusing ! ,

One forum rather than two would’ve been a much better idea and format. Splitting the community was a bad decision. Plus, the Bethesda forum was not very user friendly. I am a member to many forums, and that one is the toughest to post on in terms of user friendly setup.

The ETQW forums was run by the publisher (Lackofvision). Then one day without warning, it was gone. Valuable content was lost. Most of everybody moved here. The people that are here, are so because of that experience and refuse to use the publishers site, because they know what will happen.

Well, I’m gonna hang here and see what SD’s next game will be and chat about Brink and see what’s done for that. Who cares about Bethesda!

The Beth forum for Brink was horrid in my experience. Ofc I only went there shortly after launch and people were raging about all the bugs and the mods were being very heavy handed with their thread locking. If anything even slightly bad was mentioned about the game - threadlock!
These forums are much more community friendly (for Brink at least… never went to the other forums).

Personally I find the Beth Brink forums a far more civil place than this forum.

Here we call it ‘open’. Forced civility is just fake civility when the threat of deleted threads and bans loom overhead. We had a large influx of forumites visiting here due to Beth mods deleting post/threads and banning users for the most petty of reasons.

Splitting the community was amazing, it’s just a shame a few particular Bethesda noobs didn’t stay on their side of the fence.

Next time, don’t have two forums for the same game. And it would be prudent to have a Subforum for PC Players. That addresses specific PC needs and fixes. Release the PC version after 3 months of releasing the Console version. Throw a few added perks into the PC version to offset the longer release date. That way, the game has a better chance to gestate.
