SD broke Arty

i can no longer drop arty on the ev.

this happened when i tried to drop artillery on EV in chapel
if you laser at the ev it will drop significantly further than before
and if you aim at the ev turret it used to drop arty directly at the ev or behind it if its moving
but now it seems like the ev has mirror deflecting the laser or something, making aiming behind the ev also does this too.

this is very frustrating since if this happens, arty can no longer damage ev because the arty drop from the ev is now too far.

People actually target the EV directly?
The collision box is always so buggy anyways I usually just target right in front of it or under if I can. Granted I don’t play arty that much so I probably suck at him, but still. The EV usually doesn’t sit still long so placing an artillery strike right in front of it means it ends up in the middle a second later.

Honestly though, this might be a good thing. Maybe now every chapel match won’t just be 4 arty players, lol

nonono, not aimpunch
i was alone and didnt receive any damage while laser tagging the EV

i cant, usually if you aim anywhere around the ev like on walls or at the front of ev it will drop where you put it, now it feels like theres some kind of mirror blocking me from laser tagging anywhere around the ev with extra space of 1-2 meter

so if the EV is staying still, i cant drop the arty right on top of the ev for maximum damage because the “mirror” very far from the center of the blast and sometimes i would not deal damage to EV at all…

Artillery, laser and molotov attacks are indexed; this means that all attacks land exactly at a defined point. Passed that point, you cannot deliver the artillery, lasser or even a molotov strike. It’s a faulty solution of game programming to solve a problem.

Just aim in front and let the enemy walk the ev into it. Or just spam little eggs of death at it. Hell ive waited till ev was on top of me as nader and martydomed the damn thing to finish it off

Considering that 2 Artys on a team apparently means the game won’t go 15 seconds without an artillery strike, I’m not upset about this.
