Just wondering if there is something like that in ET. Or any alternative way to implement. The idea is that a player can pick up (or just do something) and will be able to breath for longer/infinite time under water.

OR

is there any way for the mapper to change the breath time under water? :slight_smile:

Well at least I saw that the breath times are different on different servers.

For example oasis, on one server you can swim it with adren, on another server you die in a few feet from to the air even if you use adren…

Mmm… thats a pitty :frowning: And if you have 2 water brushes with water_no_draw on them and 1 unit of air between, will that work?

not very well since you will constantly hear water splashing sounds as you pass between the brushes. also you go back to normal gravity when you enter the air volume so would drop before entering the next brush

Is it possible to play with shaders and make it so that no splash and breath sound played?

No, I don’t think this is possible… the only possible way to create water is to use the “surfaceparm water” keywords in the shader.
No way to change any properties of the “surfaceparm water” without modding the game im afraid… :frowning:

Flippy is right. You can only get what you want, if you make a mod, and change the properties in “surfaceparm water”.
