I want my func_door to open and close only when triggered by a script, using the spawnflag “toggle” on func_door. I know it’s possible, it says it is in entity info. Please don’t tell me to use script_mover. I really need it to be a func_door. help anyone?

give your door a scriptname then “alert the entity” in your script and bam the door opens
alert entity works just like when you connect things in the editor. e.g. try doing this on a funk_explosive and it will go boom
map won’t load. it goes back to main menu and says “unknown action: alert”
could it be alert_entity or something like that?

why do these damn door entities have to close by defauly after they are opened!! they are driving my crazy!! can’t we just close them manually!! Anyway, since what I ask for isn’t in Doom3, I’ll simply hope someone at raven will manage to think about it and implement it into Quake4
