script_mover must hase "scriptname"

(DWM|Commando) #1

i get that error when i test my map, the obviose thing is to look throught the map for the scriptmover with no scriptname but i have lots of scriptmovers and that would take hours. so i thought it might be hte fact that i dont have the scriotmovers mentioned in my script. and seeing as how i have them set to not go active till called in the script, it might create a problem.

So would that be the problem? them not being called or mentioned in the script? or do i have to check them all in radiant :(. also if i have to check them all in radiant is there a faster way to see which one is missing it or sumthing?

It doesn’t matter if it’s not referenced in the script.
You’ll have to check in the map either in radiant, or look in the .map file that radiant saves to (it’s a text file).
MAKE A COPY FIRST!!! Then search in the copy.

press L and look through the list for scriptmovers, in latest radiant you can view all the key/values for the entities in the list, check to see if youve added script names cause iam pretty sure that the problem.

that is very handy the “l” thing, it worked it was 1 scriptmover that i completely overlooked and it never had a scriptname. thanks 4 the help

Yes, the “L” thing is useful. I often dump stuff into the map and then it causes an error. Checking the L-list helps alot, to locate the faulty stuff.
