Screenshots 'TramFight!'

(FireFly) #1

Well, Here are some screenshots from the map I’ve been working on for the past 9 months called “Tramfight!”

The Main objective: Allies must steal the secret documents and drop it at the tram, then they have to escort the tram (with the obj) towards the tramstation…

The tram is similar to the railgun tug, so when allies enter it it will move towards the station and when axis board it, it will move backwards. Basically the tram will probably drive all the way through the small village so when an allied player takes the objective he first needs to find out where the tram is ( by looking at the command map) so he can drop the secret documents (the obj) inside the tram…

I’m hoping to release the map within a week or 2. I still have to add some details and sound to the map, and have to finnish the tram-model in 3dmax (the one in the screenshot below is a brushmodel)

Very nice. I hope it plays as well as it looks - you have a good eye for detail and scene composition.

You might give the tarmac road the tramlines run along a sandier/dirtier texture if you haven’t already.

\o/ looks good

Good looking map!

How come in the last pic the Axis aren’t firing on the Allied Infidels?

omg, that looks awesome. can’t wait to try it.

SD guys, you might want to hire firefly before another company steals him

9 months !!! IT* looks worth it.

Edit:

corrected the I to IT

looks very nice!
cant wait to test it out!!
i sure hope a lot of those buildings have doors that work where you can get up on rooftops, that always makes for good play!

(Davros) #8

very nice  I look forward to playing this

veryyy nice… I love maps with moving objects. Tram was my favorite in RTCW. This one seems to be very nice as well!

Just wondering: can the axis return the objectives once it’s in the tram? if so, do they need to return the tram to the starting point first?

Nice to hear you all liked the screenshots I posted: I just hope that this map won’t have any major gameplay issues like my previous map had…Just have to wait for the feedback when I release the first beta next week…

  • @wils: I agree that the tramroad looks kinda ‘clean’ at the moment. I’ll have to test what looks/works best: re-texture the whole road with a dirty texture or just add some ‘decals’ on top of the road, like the snowtracks on fueldump…

-@EB: 9 months because originally the map was twice the size as it is now; Last month I decided to delete a large portion of the map because it just got way too big…

-@Northerner: I believe that at the moment there are only 2 or 3 buildings players can enter that will lead to several balconies. There are also some smaller balconies that players can access by jumping on crates. Players will not be able to reach the rooftops because that would cause fps-issues.

-@-FA-Undertaker: Nope, once the allies have delivered the documents at the tram Axis can not return it. So the main goal for axis is to prevent the allies from getting the documents in the first place and worry about the tram later…

Allies however should first jump onto the tram, drive it near to the objective, get the objective and than drive towards the 2nd station to win the game…

i agree, i like the loks of it so much i decided to start a desert type city map. I;ve wanted to for a while and u finally pushed me lol. Looks cool, i like train type maps so it should be fun

So the main goal for axis is to prevent the allies from getting the documents in the first place and worry about the tram later…

That could be a problem, since many ET players seems to have the IQ of a carrot, when it comes to being at the right place at the right time.

Nuff said

It looks like a great map! Railgun in the desert - could be very popular!

@fattakin I think so, too.
