Hello mapping types

Am getting along (quite slowly) with a map called Bridges. http://www.ddtp.vispa.com/bridges/bridges.htm

Thought I’d post up some screenshots

Nice looking map, really has a authentic feel… i love the wee road up along the side of the hill / mountain… feels very immediate

I can’t wait for this map, that just looks awesome.

The map is big, Daybreak big, but if the spawn points are logical that shouldn’t matter.

Did you ever get the problems with the train solved?

Btw, in the 3rd last screenshot, you may want to rethink the wood texture on the railroad, when its inside the tunnels.

Wow, it does impress … Landscapes, architecture - very authentic.
(though I can’t say anything on its playability)

i think the steps are somewhat high? keep it up!

thanks for the feedback on the pics.

Chruker - the train is fine now tvm for help - It is a little shorter than it was when you looked at it because it wouldn’t go round the curves convincingly. Also I see youv’e noticed the wood texture in the tunnels. This is going to be changed as it is the texture for the outside.

Christmas maps were popular last year, practically ever server was running North Pole by Drakir & Loffy (cant wait for it again this year) so if you release this at the right time it could get a lot of plays!

I like enough the train but she modifies the lights of the bridge are a little rare like for that class of bridge :drink:

Affraid I didn’t meet my Christmas deadline but the latest news is that the Alpha version is ready for play testing?! at last!

I am just waiting for my broadband connection to become live next Tuesday 29th Feb after a move of address and then I will post it up to a web page and begin a new thread for your comments, constructive criticism and suggestions for development.

I’m quite happy with Bridges and I hope you will like my efforts - so far

Thanks very much for the help to those that gave it, in particular to Chruker and Schaffer - there’s no way I’d have got anywhere with the map without it.

so…ETA. Tuesday 29th Feb 2005!!
