Scheduled Hotfix Changes - July 27th, 2016

Hey all!

The following changes were made during the July 27th maintenance:

[list][]Removed collision on stacks of paper across maps
[
]Fixed issue causing the Stats page to not update
[]Fixed issue with Overtime in Stopwatch
[
]Fixed issue where Russian localisation could cause a crash[/list]

We also added in extra logging which will assist us in tracking down issues, specifically with Ranked and Private Matches.

EDIT: Added ‘Removed collision on stacks of paper across maps’. As we know you had issues with this, we snuck it in early.

Servers are fine now? Since the 14.7 hotfix I had a lot of lag, + the stats bug + sign in bug so you messed up with the servers on that hotfix probably. First, are my badges that I got in that time were saved somewhere?
Second, is the ping fine now?

I am not home and I want to be happy when I come back to play Dirty Bomb…

Please do not ignore me, every question I ask in the forums NOBODY answers me, even (GM) Radrodo ignored me on my support ticket.

@AnotherGuy I do feel like ping improved a bit, but still saw players teleporting and rubberbanding.

I got a good dozen of Godlikes since the badges didnt update anymore and as for now after the patch they are still at 30 and therefor badges seem to not have being saved somewhere.

No worry, youre not the only one thinking that that is annoying and not to mention that some (gamebreaking) bugs definitly need a (fast) fix.

Yup badges didnt update. I got so many godlikes + 20 revives and The Doctor badges with sparks. I am talking about 100+ because it is so easy with her.

Yeah ping is better now. I still have packet losses but oh well, Servers are bad anyways…

Is the large amount of high-ping players a result of the recent hotfixes?

Well…many is subjective. I usually have 2-4 people with 100+ ping in the game, however, 100 ping is still playable and normally doesnt produce any laggs/freezes. I know this because i sometimes play on US server as EU player because EU server are a little dead at 3-6AM and there i have a ping of 80-150 and its totally fine without any real noticeable lag or freeze.

Quick Join just messes up sometimes and let you join servers which arent that much suited ping wise. (Or you simply live a little offroad where no server are close)

PS:Atleast Quick Join was messed up back then, havent used it for already 6-8 months.

Quick Join still puts you in distant servers, but I figured that half the people on US servers weren’t connecting from Brazil or China.

servers are in a terrible state. At least EU ones, dont play any others. But it was a little better yesterday after a server maintenance.

I’ve personally noticed really very little issues in regards to the servers… yes there were issues with them crashing at the end of a match, that was a clear problem. As for reporting that “some” players teleport/warp around the map, this is a likely an issue with THAT player’s internet connection. Even if their ping looks fine, it is likely they are experiencing packet loss which will definitely cause visual teleporting/warping to other players.

I hate pingers in this game. His having ping 300 and dominate for normal ping players. I’m using the spectator seen as a player with 300 ping shot past the second player and got ! Shot in an empty space and eventually kill the opponent.
Have information how work the network code in this game ?
