Sawbones Question/Discussion

What exactly makes Sawbones a medic in his own style?
(Haven’t been on the beta for about 2 years now, sorry if these effects are outdated)

Pheonix doesn’t have much on healing, just a simple AOE burst but can self revive if need be.

Spark has the ability to snipe and revive others over long ranges with her primary

Aura makes drops a healing station for her team

But what exactly makes Sawbones special in his own regards, I remember hearing that Sawbones and Spark’s First-Aid kits are different but haven’t really confirmed it.

I’ve never played Sparks but Sawbones is somewhere in the middle between Phoenix and Aura:

  • he can drop hp packs for immediate need or for future use
  • throw them over distances and into nifty places
  • doesn’t require as much initative from the injured player.

Overall his healing is most versatile: phoenix really struggles to keep people healthy with the 12sec cooldown, and some players are too clueless to come to your hp station, if you run Aura.

Sawbones is a “mobile true medic”, whereas phoenix is a more “selfish rambo medic” :stuck_out_tongue:

he’s the oldschool ET medic which we all loved playing. but with limits to medpack spamming, and no using multiple packs at once to quickly selfheal.

and from what i know, no movement speed advantage (which is huge in a FPS game) like the other medics.
