I would gladly post pics of your map on Enemy-Territory.com if your pics didn’t have the text and HUD. Perhaps for the future keep in mind for all the website news sniffers :stuck_out_tongue:

Do other mappers really care how many leafs you have, lol?

Looking good seven.

One suggestion though, for the columns in the first screen, perhaps adding some wood trims would help accent the theme (and make it look less plain). You could also stretch the whole wood trim idea throughout the whole map if you had the desire or inclination to do that. Would look cool.

Just my opinion… otherwise it does look good. :slight_smile:

what do you mean by wood trims?
I modified a the spawn area a bit, added rubble and lights.

Isnt this the map where there are rockets that you can fire? I mean, you sit inside a helicopter and press a level, and BOOM! Two rockets fly our from the heli. Cool. Can you make the helicopter fly also? (joke).
This is a nice map. I like it.

Yeah. That helicopter weapon is little eastern egg. I put it there when I discovered thar it very easy to do things like that. I have thinked of flying helicopter… Would it be nice to have isolated area where defenders are and the attackers could only fly there by using a helicopter raids by jumping to building roofs etc. Would that be fun! :blah:

So what if choppers didnt look exactly like that in the 1940’s? It is pure fragging and blasting fun.
Is it your first mapping project?
How long did you work on it? Are there any custom textures in it? Or is it ET material in all of the map?

Yes this is my first map project.
It started on testing and learning map. I just followed tutorials and created stuff. I started this map in somewhere in summer hard to tell actually because it was only a test map.

There are few custom textures by my friend, go_gerbil and from evillair’s texture packs. Mainly all textures are ET material.

I have put your map on a few times on the servers, when I take it off there are more requests to put this back on, I think you have a good map going there!!!, Just let me know when it is released as the crowd at the servers are waiting…:slight_smile:

Nice to hear!

This beta will have changes to the alpha version like:
-forward span for allied and axis… axis loses and allied will have this spawn when either of the walls have destroyed. This forward spawn is near the ammo and health cabinets.

  • Alternative long route from forward span to behind the walls so that allied can sneak to the helicopter there. but beware the helicopter weapons are aimed there!
    -More space near axis wall and crates to cover…
    -Allied forces can get over the sand hils now.
    -More detail
    -A box shrine for creets!

I only used one texture from MML_church the “mml_church_light_halo.tga” one for the halos.

I took the liberty to make a pillar for you which looks a bit less like 2 brushes stacked on top of eachother :wink:

Feel free to use it in your map, (you might want to resize it for your map tho since I had to guess the size of that entrance)
