Anything being done besides setting max level?
Sandbagging...
Is that like teabagging, but instead of gently dipping your crotch on someone’s face, you smash the grundle on their kisser
Well, level is one indication, but rarity should weigh in with the XP gain. Cobalt Rarity should get a multiplier based on their rarity.
eg.
Kill with Cobalt = 150 x 0.1
Not entirely sure what you are getting at (never heard the term sandbagging before). Are you implying that you feel that people have an advantage with higher tier loadouts? And that they should get less XP to compensate? And that likewise Players with a higher XP level should either be gated out of matches or get some sort of disadvantage against lower lvl players aswell?
In that case higher tier cards (above bronze) are exactly the same as bronze cards (easily bought with credits in the shop) only difference is cosmetics i.e. different skins.
Likewise there are 3 different server types Max 5 servers for those that want to get a feel for the basics without getting constantly stomped. free for all servers where everyone can play against everyone. And min lvl 10 servers for the highlvl. guys that hate to play with people who don’t know the game to a certain degree.
Splitting that up further IMO is not a good idea for several reasons. But either way sooner or later you gotta have to face better / more experienced Players.
Skill and experience is the only thing that seperates them from you. Their loadouts are not better than yours (or you can atleast easily upgrade yours to their quality) And they don’t get some sort of bonus simply because of their XP level.
Sandbagging in billiards and other games, deliberately playing below one’s actual ability in order to fool opponents into accepting higher stakes bets, or to lower one’s competitive rating in order to play in a future event with a higher handicap and consequently have a better chance to win; the term has spread to chess, go and other such games -like dirty bomb (apparently but i added that last bit in)
And nothing is being done about this as its not an issue in this game at all.
just say smurfing, it’s a much more used and widely recognized term.
Unfortunately nothing can really be done about this. Will it mess up the ranked ladder? absolutely (look at LoL’s immense fail of a ranked system).

That implied marketing doesn’t hold in my case. I paid for my loadout and still it takes more than 5 shots to kill. Most of the times, I hear 2 headshots and it doesn’t register a kill and it only takes 3 or less shots on full health to down SkyHammer. How many swipes of Phantom does it take to kill? Hmm… must weed out the less experienced ones.
Sandbagging, smurfing, if you leave it out of game mechanics to game administration, I’ll have a difficult time convincing my friends that the game is play 2 win.

I honestly can’t figure out what you said here. Are you wanting the game to be pay to win and are upset that it’s not?

Wat.
LoL’s rank system is actually very good. Mostly because of just how many players are using it. I have a ton of experience with it and can assure you that despite all the moaning it’s very accurate except for smurfs - which are largely irrelevant - and very fair.
