(MuffinMan) #4

is this my dora prefab? so finally somebody could use it! :o)

(capslock trojan) #5

yes that’s your prefab it wil be in the readme file that’s made by you

(MuffinMan) #6

I hope you didn’t have severe fps-problems with it? there are loads of round surfaces and it seems like you put it in an open area… btw: is it moving?

(capslock trojan) #7

im a noob cant work with sript movers maybe next map :bump: btw your train prefab is nice

(shazmax) #8

Nice lighting! Good job!

(capslock trojan) #9

thx shazmax

(Mark.C) #10

Can i possibly have this prefab, or a link to it ? I want to try and get it to move

(Mark.C) #11

Never mind…i found it

(MuffinMan) #12

I’d reduce some of the pipes and make it an ase model to make it a mover and reduce tris-count especially if it should go out into an open area - keep in mind that this prefab has some thousand brushes, anyway good luck and post some screenies :o)

(Mark.C) #13

Of course

I dont actually plan to make it go in an “open” area, but definately to be escorted…just looked at it…errrm it’s HUGE !

How would i convert it to ase ?

(Schaffer) #14

Look in the Level Design Forum in the sticky threads. Look specifically at “Converting a BSP to ASE” http://www.splashdamage.com/index.php?name=pnPHPbb2&file=viewtopic&t=2869. Also, maybe a search would help

(MuffinMan) #15

here’s a recent thread whith some infos: http://www.splashdamage.com/index.php?name=pnPHPbb2&file=viewtopic&t=8071
and here’s a tutorial: http://www.wolfproject.net/modules.php?name=Tutorials&tut=ASE_models

(capslock trojan) #16

hmmmmmmm my aint released because my stupid script aint working
and im searching 4 a good tutt

:frowning:

(nUllSkillZ) #17

You will find tutorials at Ifurita’s mapping page:
http://planetwolfenstein.com/4newbies/mapping.htm

Especially the “.pdf”-file is a very good introduction.

(Mark.C) #18

I read in muffinmans tut link that ase models can only be static, i want mine to move. So would i have to make it an md3 then ?

(Detoeni) #19

No need, make your mover from clip brushes, and then target the ase(misc_model) at the mover.

(capslock trojan) #20

thx for the tut
think i understand my prob now
