yes, i have a lot of retail games, about fifteen and “RTCW/ET” is my prefered videogame (America’s Army too  ). I love killing the Windows players with my garand
Rumor has it there'/s an RtCW2 in the works...hmmm SD?
well, perhaps nerve is doing rtcw, and perhaps SD is persuing a project theyve always wanted to do … tfc style game perhaps? either way i have the utmost confidence it will be fun as hell.
Yeah Linux has at least 1% of titles released on it, great system for gaming!
Another happy linux gamer here!!! Q3, UT2004, RtCW, ET, Savage, NWN are all on my system at the moment. On August 3rd or 4th I’ll be playing Doom3 on my 6800GT under linux. Sounds like a decent gaming platform to me…
Ok, but nothing more than that.

its actually quite an excellent development platform too. without linux there would be no etpro nor ettv.
Owned!
In all seriousness, you (whoever said linux sucks) give no substance to support your POV…Enjoyable games are published on both platforms (windows/linux)
Is there any games that wont run on linux for x86? Im a linux user for 10 years and nowadays i just havent been able to find a game that I cant run in linux …hmmmm…i must be missing something
Hey! What’s wrong with slagging off something I got no understanding of?!
Seriously though, I’ve just heard about the lack of gaming support for linux users.
Unless you include Cedega (formerly WineX) in that claim there’s quite a few games that doesn’t run under Linux… Like all Direct3D games.
i have no idea about GFX, for all i know my 64mb ge force 2 mx is a frikken great card, even though its old, but im not complaining, it can run farcry very smooth

Linux “sucks” for gaming in that any sensible hardcore gamer who likes linux will very likely be dual-booting with winxp (though “sensible” and euthanism for “addict” is an oxymoron). Windows gamers can easily forget about linux, well probably unless theyre renting a clanserver, whereas linux gamers would have much more difficulty going altogether without windows, unless theyre willing to forget about quite a few games anyway.
Most of that is due to the economics of making games for linux though, rather than the abilities of the platform. Well, except for MS controlling directx perhaps, but if 50% of gaming market used linux you can bet either a proper directx would be (somehow) made for linux, or opengl would be rather more popular.
Nerve is currently crafting concepts and ideas in collaboration with Id Software for a future project.

That’s been up there ever since RTCW hit the shelves, it’s… well, just there actually. Besides: SD just finished MP for Doom 3 (experience with the engine) and is actively hiring people for a new project on that engine. They’re probably reading this, laughing out of anxiousness to tell the big news. Either that or I’ve just made an ass out of myself with this assumption
edit: On a side not, I hope RTCW2 isn’t comming any sooner then christmas 2005. Doom 3 won’t have much open areas since most PC’s really can’t handle it on that level of detail yet. And constantly runnning around inside the castle, in small hallways, would be the death of RTCW2.
