Rubber-banding

I recently have been getting major rubber-banding issues even though I have no packet loss, no high ping and a good PC. My gameplay looks like this: (Not actually my gameplay but this is exactly what mine looks like, excluding the high ping he has) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XgofvhbHKIg

What do you suggest I do at this point because I’m seriously thinking of quitting since its totally unplayable; however, I do love the game so I hope this issue can be fixed/helped. :frowning:

What hardware do you have (mostly CPU model and GPU model)?

Also, have you ran something like Open Hardware Monitor and gotten your CPU temps when running Dirty Bomb?

A common cause of this type of rubberbanding when not connected to packet loss is hardware issues…and specifically heat issues. Dirty Bomb is EXTREMELY CPU intensive so even if other games don’t give you a heat issue DB might.

So a troubleshooting step is to download Open Hardware Monitor, turn it on and leave it running and play DB for a bit. Then turn off DB and check the highest temp per core. Then Google what your processors max temps should be under load.

Virtually every time I’ve seen this issue it was heat related. Also, you might not be dropping packets if you ping a server that responds to pings (Google) but your route to those servers might have an issue. You can always get the server IP via Resource Monitor in windows and then tracert it over and over to see if there is packet loss directly between you and the DB server’s data center.

Also, I moved this to tech support.

Whilst playing Dirty Bomb my core temps averaged at high 60’s, 1 or 2 cores went into the 70’s at times.
