for those who cant use the serverlist, check the cl_master cvar, it should be 78.47.152.4 and not some other ip
I have fixed my problems and the mod is now fully working, yeah!
The problem with the lag in the main-menu and where the game was not loading selected map was caused by too old GPU drivers.
If anyone want to play, write me a PM.
You can just join anytime one of the available servers, mostly there will be others join too, if someone play.
you can also post to this thread if you plan to play on a certain moment: http://rtcwcoop.trak.be/forum/viewtopic.php?id=4
Anyone had any luck trying to setup any version of radiant with rtcwcoop? I tried making my own .game file and made a .prog file both have all paths pointing to where installed rtcwcoop.exe but fails each time load up the editor (GTK 1.4) saying it can’t find some paths.
I could continue using regular rtcw and copying things over when need to test but that isn’t ideal really.
Well I was too lazy to ever bother to try. You really don’t have to test the map much in COOP, unless you are tweaking light or working on COOP scripts or such. Everything “regular” I’ve pretty much tested on RTCW SP infact. Putting files back and worth is not nice tho, using pk3 helps a bit. I have the map pk3 open all the time and just drop the files I edit in there. Then everything is ready set go for testing.
I never tested if COOP generates RCD files correctly/at all. Certainly does not into pk3. So every time after an AAS compile I run it in RTCW first. Luckily I have good shortcut base.
Btw. Entitity files (.ents) are tweaked in appdata/roaming/wolf…/main/maps (because if you edit it ingame, it’s overwritten there), and you can do other map scripts easily from there too, other stuff I’ve not tried. Loads with map_restart. Ofc you normally have them inside your pk3, but then you have to close the game to change anything.
Right okay. Well as to not mess with my steam install of RTCW going to try duplicate the install to somewhere else for mapping purposes though not sure if can do this with steam games, like in ET I have three installs, Mapping, Clean and Playing.
I think you can check this by starting the EXE file without Steam in background; If Steam starts it could be a modified EXE; If you succeed in making a mapping folder for Co-Op, please post how
Sadly it starts Steam, sucks. Bit naughty but may download it from wherever and have that located somewhere else for mapping purposes. There was a way you could set up GTK 1.4 and 1.5 for mods of games but how coop mod is installed it’s almost like a new game as far as the editor is concerned I think, I don’t know…
You may try to find a CB box as I did this summer on some dark shops
Or someone can send you non-Steam binaries for this purpose? Since you own the game, there shouldn’t be big probs to “share” that kind of files, but a problem could be the CD key, I dunno with ET I’m used to no CD key, and haven’t tested the one I bought as box yet ^^’
