I did the last fix for all the 26 maps in the Coop mod. And a 5 map custom campaign is coming soon. But anyhow. I have created a VERY covered step-by-step tutorial. You dont need to know much to succeed. Almost anything you ever need to know is included in this tutorial. Check it in the list of tutorials, it is currently named mappingUNDERCONSTRUCTION in this list:

We are currently testing a new version that will present great changes for custom content. No need for mods and I have ensured everything is nice and easier. Maps can have individual notebook and clipboard script, levelshots, custom arena/campaign/menu stuff. We can have every original function without hassle or mod folder.

Also in the current test version we have fast direct download, http downloads, campaign system that autoplays all the custom campaigns on the server. Just add the pk3 and it will play your map after original ones without cfg. Ofc you can vote maps too.

I have done all I can to make custom content work and played. Making custom ones from sp is fairly easy and fast. Also there is some gaming going on most of the time.

Well so far the tests seems nice. I don’t think it will take too long. It all depends on the project leader. But I think in 1 to 3 weeks.

It makes it little slower to beta test, as we have moved to a new to a dual renderer system with our new engine. There is a cvar to select between 2 renderers. We can use the original (fixed) renderer just as nicely as before. Also we can select a new and fancy renderer with billions of HD features if you are rocking some serious hardware… Also we have VOIP, 64 bits and many other things.Link to the engine. :wink:

Also now it should be fully compatible with the original RTCW installation if desired. If you don’t want to copy the original pk3s just dump it to RTCW folder and it will load like a mod. But it can be used as a standalone too like it is now. This is because in the following version we are using coopmain folder for edited content instead of main folder. I personally prefer the old standalone way.

2 days ago a very annoying problem in the game. We will make a server. As long as I play it alone, will have no problems. But if someone enters the game after the first death prints “You Are Frozen” and I can not do anything. Server after restarting the problem. I have changed my previous configuration also did not help. What happened?

thats because you have the ‘freeze’ feature enabled, this is a feature to enhance teamwork, your teammates can ‘unfreeze’ you by stabbing you with the knife while you are frozen. This way when someone respawns the teammates have to help him out. Else it happens that you spawn somewhere and you are alone

about the forum: it asks what ‘RTCW’ means, you have to type return to castle wolfenstein
this is to block the bots

I think you must do /g_freeze 0 to disable the freeze feature. It is normally disabled I think. I actually was not even aware of this feature.
