This is the same as CS:GO with knifes never actually being near your item. But here it’s predetermined to show you high rarities besied your card to give you an incentive to buy more cases.

I might be wrong, but I believe that the roll animation in CSGO takes into account the real drop rates, which means you very rarely see a knife in the animation. While on Dirty Bomb, there are high rarities everywhere during the roll animation, so the game is kind of trolling you (except if it does represent the actual odds but I highly doubt it considering all the Silver+ there are most of the time).

But yeah it’s predetermined anyway.
