Right joystick on Xbox 360/PS4 controller not registering any input after today's update

I’ve been playing Dirty Bomb with an Xbox 360 controller for a long time now without any issue. But after today’s update, the right joystick on my controller no longer registers inputs at all. Every other button still works. It’s just the right joystick that is completely dysfunctional as of today.

I don’t have a play space that is ergonomically setup to support a mouse and keyboard, so I can’t play Dirty Bomb if it won’t recognize my controllers. I tried a PS4 controller and got the exact same issue. I can’t figure out what has changed in the update to create this problem?

Dirty Bomb doesn’t offer support for controllers. If you are experiencing an issue with one I doubt it will be resolved(if it is a problem with the game).

If the patch disabled some functionality of a controller then it will most likely(based on statements from the devs) not be fixed.

I didn’t think Dirty Bomb supported controllers at all. It’s probably just generic UE3 controller support.

There is a good chance that something was changed in the controller config file that removed the setup for the right analog stick. So you might want to research those settings and see if they can’t be added back in (and you might want to set the .ini to read only after you get done in case the game is overwriting it).

Your best option is a keyboard-to-gamepad mapper. When I play certain games like platformers, or adventure games that might not happen to support my gamepad, I use one of these programs.

Kinda off-topic but, some people use Wii controllers.

They did say they were going to pull the little support the engine had for controllers at some point.

I’m pretty sure using a mouse fixes this issue.

Not for me.

So how do you normally use your computer then? o.O Like to browse them internets? Keyboard only?

I use a rather large and pillowy lapdesk on my PC out in my living room when I play a game that works better with a mouse and keyboard. Something like that might help you out if you can’t get this issue resolved.
