At the moment i feel like theres no incentive to revive anyone , it happanes over and over that people pass by me while im on the ground, theres no one around and they clearly see me but just want action and just ignore me.
It would be great if at least the medics with defib got some points for the revive, also i think diferente classes should have diferente revive times.
Even another idea would be to give points if you revive people but first kill theyre killer or at least revive them into survival and not death.
anyone agrees?
Revive Mechanic needs a rework
Medics DO get XP for the revive. They even get more points for charging the defibrillator because that revives teammates with higher HP.
most people don’t revive cause they are clueless. They are too busy staring at enemies, having low FOV, etc.
Give people time to learn, a good player will notice you are dead with his back turned while engaging two people and throwing medpacks at another teammate.
There are already rewards for reviving, they could be buffed; but that is a separate discussion.
You do get points for reviving people, more points for the percent charge the defibs have. Sometimes, medics will ignore you because they would rez you into inevitable death. Or maybe they’re new players that don’t know how to revive. Regardless, I think the rewards for reviving are fine.
Um…if people don’t revive you it’s because they’re bad. It has nothing to do with lack of incentive, the incentive is you wanna win and get the job done. By not playing your role, you’re useless and might as well not even play.
The best incentive to revive? To use them as a meat shield while you continue mowing people down.
I’ve only played a few days, but I’ve already gotten top score once based almost entirely on revives and spamming health packs, and can consistently hit top 3 doing the same thing. I don’t seem to have any problems getting XP/credits playing medic
I think he meant revives from none Medics. And yes, I do wish these people would revive others more often, especially if there is a freaking medic near by. Revive one medic and the 5 man group that got reduced down to you once again is a 5 man group…
… “It would be great if at least the medics with defib got some points for the revive” …
So no, he didn’t exclusively mean the non-meds.
But medics not reviving, fops not giving ammo, soldiers hiding from the enemy.
All is happening RIGHT NOW. So thx @ SD (or Nexon?) for finding another solution than to seperate verterans from newcommers. We all like it!!! REALLY!?
Especially since you are working on it since the alienware-people flooded us with cs/cod-style.
The invulnerability after revives is extremely frustrating to me. It’s one thing to have all of your hard work undone by a medic rolling on through like a bulldozer, but it’s another to lose half your magazine in the process because everyone is suddenly back alive and impervious to bullets.
I don’t think you should get any shield whatsoever due to being revived in the field.

Hello likeminded friend, http://forums.dirtybomb.nexon.net/discussion/11389/revive-immunity
First of all, medics do get points for revives.
Secondly, revive spamming medic teams are actually common and strong right now.
Third, revive speed is increased if you have more players helping (I think? Seems like it anyway).
All three mean reviving is actually a really useful, arguably “Too strong” feature in the game, it’s underused at low levels because it’s not a common theme outside of dirty bomb and so people aren’t used to/don’t understand it.
If anything there’s, at times, too much incentive. Like in other FPS’s if you spend your entire time running around healing, defibrillating and playing the supportive healer role there’s no way you won’t be on the top 3 of the scoreboard.
You’re just experiencing the classic case of terrible medics as team mates.
Sometimes its better not to pick up someone, defibbing a team mate up however… almost no reason to not do that.
For example playing skyhammer, team mate goes down, 5 enemies coming to plant and respawn wave 5 seconds away. Id pop ability and restock the rest of my team mates, rather than trying to revive and most likely just getting killed.
