Most of my trip/quad kills are from this very tactic… all the others are no doubt from Leroy Jenkensing with Proxy and her trolltastic mines.
REVIVE INVINCIBILITY NEEDS TO GO
Whether you try and gib a body (even if it’s the last thing you do) or try to draw out the medics and kill them all, is one of the more interesting risk vs. reward decisions in the game.
It allows you to look like a hero when it works, or like a fool if only one medic survives and pulls them all back up.
It just takes too long to Gib. Its similar to the RTCW vs W:ET debate back a decade ago. RTCW guns were less accurate over prolonged shootouts, so trying to gib a body right after killing the opponent tended to be inconsistent. However, back in the day; even if you did fail to gib and a medic swoops in to save the day, the delay from being revived to being active allowed you to reassess the situation: fall back and reload, try to flank; prime a nade, etc.
In DB, a revived opponent is instantly on their feet, instantly back in the action, either shooting at you or getting ready to - while being invincible. This makes the revive trains much more viable in DB, at least in the current format with little AoE available.
