From what I’ve read, /kill isn’t readily available in the campaign mode (maybe possible but just not obvious?) but it will be there for Freeplay.
Ignore if this has already been emphasized but, unlike ETQW where you could change class and instantly “be” that class at your next respawn, in Brink, you’ll need to visit a command post, meaning the timing of the /kill has a whole new price if you intend to change classes.
And, as been mentioned already, /kill will have the further cost of losing any active buffs.
I still see /kill as being a tool for competition but it will take some time to adjust to some of the differences introduced by Brink.
As for the respawn timer, it is visible when you bring up the scoreboard, in case anyone missed that being mentioned earlier, so it’s just a key/button away. Fine by me.
