Respawn message

Currently the respawn message reads like this.

At quick glances it’s easy to mistake the medic distance and the time to respawn.

If the text changes from

‘Respawning in 0:08’

to

‘0.08 to respawn’ then the number of seconds is located to the left and the medic distance to the right. That would (at least for me) make it easier to quickly read both messages correctly.

or just get rid of that nearest med sillyness completely and follow the nearest med like in ET, by far the best way to know a med is coming for you. the only issue with it was always, well if a med doesnt rev you, than you miss spawn, but with the noober respawn forgiveness, that problem is gone

Huh? Looks great to me. It will probably take you 1-2 deaths to get acquainted with that screen.

This please

Seems clear enough as it is to me

Never had this issues myself. I find it clear the way it is. Maybe they could use a bigger font for the respawn time though

Ah that’s the problem, I never seem to die in this game so this whole respawn thing is completely unfamiliar to me :stuck_out_tongue:

But honestly though, this is how I read texts. I don’t grab one sentence, I read entire paragraphs. Not because I’m smart, but because I’m impatient. Especially while playing a shooter. If two similar sentences with the same syntax appear above each other then they turn into the same sentence in my head.

The meaning of both messages is great though. In some cases superior to following a medic cam (which takes line of sigh and can always be added afterwards). A rapidly decreasing distance almost always means the medic is on revive duty. A meandering distance means he’s occupied and a reset distance means he died.

That’s fine. It’s just the paired formulation of both messages that screw up for me. Though I’m glad I’m the only one who seems to have this issue.
