Resetting Points Question

When resetting points it warns you that a level will be lost. Does this just mean I would go from Rank 20 to Rank 19 and can gain that level back? Or does it mean it is lost forever for that character?

No, you can get the level back of course… just have to start over getting it. So if you’re 20 and reset, you go back to 19, and gotta level to 20.

Oh I thought it was from, say 5 star to 4 star level?

Well technically it would be from 5 to 4 star because lvl 20 is 5 star and 19 is 4 star :slight_smile:

On 360 is the Y button when your on the abilities page but not sure what platform your on

Is it safe to assume that respec at level 20 is more expensive (XP wise) then respec at level 2?
Do you lose XP in accordance to the level you are?

Yes it is more expensive but if your lvl 2 there is no real need to respec since you have not invested that many points and its only marginally quicker than making a new character.

I respeced at lvl 18 which knocked me down to lvl 17 because my points were all over the place. I am now lvl 20 with all the universal abilities apart from Grenade shooting and all the soldier abilities. I also have 2 others from the other classes, 2 mines as engineer and firewalling as operative. I like to take a CP as solider, change to operative and firewall it then switch back to solider. May respec and get the engineer CP upgrade insetad of 2 mines so I can do both when taking CP’s.

Just started my 2nd character the other day and now lvl 7 with it. This character is going to be my medic/universal character. I recommend you plan it out before you start investing points, write it down if necessary. Also don’t invest your points as you get them, save some for when your lvl 20 and rank 5 so you can get the rank 5 abilities. I did this with my soldier he has the rank 5 ability downfire which lets me shoot when incapacitated and the rank 5 ability for Soldier satchel charges.

Anyone know if it’s more expensive to respec just before you level vs. just after? If you’re just a few points shy of level 20 and do it, are you taken all the way down to the beginning of level 18, or will you now be just shy of level 19?
