Reserved Slots

Is there no way to currently set reserved slots, or VIP members? I don’t like having to wait to get in my own server, as I don’t have access to the console.

Would really like to know if VIP or Reserved slots are going to be implemented soon.

I have a 16 slot GameServers server and it’s always full, not complaining :), however, it would be nice if I could get on it.

Some reserved slots would be nice, that or an auto kicker. The servers I am part of are full all the time, so we made a passworded one, but we can’t seem to fill that on our own. Is a rough rough life.

I just posted this in another thread:

Try the following in your server.cfg file:

si_privateClients “2”
g_privatePassword “yourpassword”

This seems to work. We have 16 player servers with 2 reserved slots. It remains at 14 until a player types the following in console (Alt-Ctrl Tilde key) before joining the server:

g_privatePassword “yourpassword”

Let me know if it works for you.

Note: It will show 16 slots in the browser but it will be maxed out at 14 regular players (if you reserved 2 slots) until someone joins using the password.

I cannot get this to work. The server is reserving slots but i cannot connect even if the client is set with the right password. Anyone els having this issue?

Edit found it on forum:
You need to use this consol command to connect

“connect 10.10.10.10:27015;password passhere”

You must use free play direct connect for it to work.
