Request to SD about new maps

To SD

As topic says.

Dont use future DLC’s to give us new maps plz.

Maps should be updated for free an happen per automatic.

Otherwise we will stand in the situation that ppl that dont want to spend money on DLC’s for 1 or another reason is getting kicked when new maps are loaded on our servers, or even worse, we wont use the new maps in rotations because of that.

dont divide the relatively small community up in fractions like that plz.

Agree that it would be good to get the SDK.

Second line is just a stupid remark from some frustrated pubekid…/ignore

I could pay for DLC, like a customization clothes/pack, for a reasonnably low price (1 or 2 euros not more, including several outfits).
Or even some non balance-breaking weapon customization. But indeed the maps are what can split the community, therefore a SDK could be a way to keep more maps coming for free without costing time to SD : the community could do it.

Also, possibility for clans to have their (approved) logo on their gear or clothes could be sweet.

I rarely buy DLC, although I am planning on buying the Fallout: New Vegas as its in the sale on steam at the moment. Not interested in buying the retail price of £7.99 for it. Although there is probably more playing hours in it than what you got in the last Brink dlc.

As for DLC’s for Brink, new maps could end up being hardly played as people aren’t buying them. I’m not overly bothered about player skins unless they are ET Skins or Quake Wars.

I’d rather pay an additional £10/15/£15 for all the DLC’s up front. Depending on the number of DLC’s. Rather than paying £5.99 or w/e the price maybe for each additional DLC that comes out. Would be interesting to use the “Pay What You Want” mechanism that was used by Radio Head for their album release In Rainbows and I think Championship Manager did it a while back.

Not sure there is going to be enough demand to justify to much in the way of DLC paid or otherwise.
