This isn’t supposed to be racist, but I request to close the game for players from Russia again.
Why I’m requesting this? Well, that’s fairly easy. Russian gamers are well-known for being cheaters. Best example of this is CS:GO. And since Russian gamers are allowed to play Dirty Bomb I’m seeing low-level people from Russia with only free-games on their steam account being very damn fishy at this game. This never happenes when that area was closed.
Request: Closing Russia as a region again.
it’s not racist, but it’s severely prejudiced, bordering on hate crime, broad sweeping accusations help no one
IMO
I just hate how many Russian players keep joining AUS servers. We are already lacking in servers and now they want to take the place of Australian/NZ players, with their 500+ ping.
That’s another thing. Even on EU they’re all with 100+ and very unstable connections. Screaming russian language through voice-chat and calling you american asshole if you speak english.
Imo it’s the worst gaming community on the planet and the game would be much better without that community. It was for months.
Well… maybe not close but restrict Russians to play on their own servers.
I wouldn’t say they need to be barred from other servers, but I do think there needs to be a max ping cap that prevents you from entering certain regions’ games if you have a certain amount of ping in that regions’ servers.
Mostly because people teleporting around because of their 200+ ping makes gameplay very difficult. There’s even been some Russians in Eastern US servers, filling up voice chat in Russian. That’s all fine and dandy, but people with ping that high are very difficult to kill. It’s sort of an unfair advantage for them honestly.
This post is going to make a lot of people unhappy. Let’s not close Russia’s DB support and instead work on a a way to manage it.

Well, make a suggestion then. Open for ideas. @SereneFlight made a good point.
Autokick people from the server if their ping is extremely high for extended time (So that people with random lagspikes won’t get kicked) sounds like an easy enough option to keep people playing on their own servers.

what about those who’s got unstable ping? like… I usually get aroun 16~20ms then suddenly 560~988ms

Most of the Russian players just are so toxic, some russian guy just randomly started screaming that I was the worse … player he had ever seen (top score of the team).
I was like well srry that a skyhammer was looking straight at me when i came around the corner rofl.
I would rather stick with the idea of Ping-related problems to be fixed using pinglimits, there can be some ways I believe to make it work so those who sometimes spike don’t get kicked if the server decides to be a butt on that day, but on dealing with toxic people/cheaters I have only one suggestion.
Disregard the nationality and treat them as if you were to treat any other toxic/cheating player. The mute and report method is the most preferred.
While not technically ‘racist’, it IS poorly stereotyping and singling out a region for really no reason. Throughout my time gaming I’ve heard almost every country be referred to as “known for cheating”. Russia is no different, it has both good players and cheaters - as does every region.
I’m closing this now.
EDIT: I should probably clarify, people brought up some arguments related to ping issues and such within this thread - which are perfectly valid. If you wish to make a separate thread discussing different regions and ping issues, without singling out a specific region, then feel free to do so, as that is perfectly valid discussion.
